Man to be sentencing in death of woman found in plastic drum

A Detroit-area man faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole in the slaying of his girlfriend whose decomposed body was found concealed in a plastic drum. Scott Wobbe's sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday.

The Detroit Downtown Development Authority could lose over $4 million in annual revenue if property assessment appeals by several companies - some of which have received tax subsidies and abatements from the authority - are approved by the Michigan Tax Tribunal.
